Max was looking for Tavi. It was surprisingly difficult to find the legion's captain when he was doing something. Max has already been through the usual places: the wall going up at the bridge, the worryingly depleted supply depot, the stables where they were just starting to train mounted infantry...

Where was that sneaky Calderon, anyway? Max rubbed his face, sometimes working under Tavi was really frustrating.
